I'm not one who usually has his head in the sand but I finally feel compelled to wonder (not comment) about this threesome and the world in general.

It's that time of the year again. The NFL Draft. I've heard sports talk radio hosts call it the Christmas for football junkies. I see nothing wrong with that one bit.

So the Denver Broncos have finally decided to work a trade to get rid of unhappy QB Jay Cutler. I have to say I'm shocked that it took so long for them to come around after all the back and forth.

It has finally been announced that the Miami Heat have traded forward Shawn Marion and guard Marcus Banks to the Toronto Raptors for center Jermaine O'Neal and Jamario Moon. There were conditional picks thrown in and some cash but that's really not the important stuff.

I came across a report from a local paper down here in South Florida that has the Miami Heat talking with the Toronto Raptors about acquiring Jermaine O'Neal in exchange for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks. I have to say that I always found that acquisition puzzling.

This entry is meant to be many things. It is a cautionary tale. It is a comedy. It is a tragedy. It is something for you to read and come away shocked. Most shockingly of all...this is true. Not that this has never happened. It just never happened to me.

Savoring the Dolphin victory, I thought of...The Godfather. One of my favorite movies of all time and I'm sure many will second that emotion. But I think of that end sequence as Michael becomes Godfather to one of Connie's kids.
